Harlequin Flooring National Website - Published Dance Studio Project in 2022

Designing and furnishing an authentic dance studio with custom finishes and genuine Harlequin (marley) flooring was realized for Sheryl's clients whose daughter held a national championship title. Working with an unfinished attic space, Sheryl teamed with interior architect Krista Bonin to design this highly specialized home studio. A plan to make the sub-floor of the studio absorb impact was developed with the contractor and a special installation team from Texas was contracted to heat seal the vinyl flooring. The studio features a large wall of mirrors and a barre wall. The ballet barre was custom made from white washed hard maple with brackets finished in silver. A stainless steel ribbon chandelier is reminiscent of the satin ribbon found on ballet shoes. Paired with floral wallpaper from York and a bench with velvet pillows the studio reflects a feminine attitude. On the tech side, the dancer has a fully integrated sound system and screen to work remotely with her dance coach - all managed from her iPhone.
